k-RAR FAQ

1. What does k-RAR do?

k-RAR is a product designed and built to report repairs.  It is a 4 tier system that narrows down to specific types of repair.  This gives your customers the ability to report multiple repairs directly to your email account from the k-RAR website.

2. Who is this product aimed at?

k-RAR was originally built as an add-on that can be integrated into our CMS product PHARO.  PHARO stands for Putting Housing Associations Right Online and is a content management system designed primarily for housing associations.

3. Can I edit the categories in k-RAR?

Yes you can edit any categories at any of the tiers and you can add as many categories as you wish. 

4. Can I edit the images in k-RAR?

Yes you can upload and change all of the images used in k-RAR.

5. What else can I edit in k-RAR?

Changing the access details within theadministration area specifies the periods in time when the repair man can entera person's property.  These can bemodified to anything you want so you could specify morning, afternoon andevening, or you can specify different times i.e. 9am-11am and dates.  This gives you complete control over what isdisplayed on the website.  You can alsochange the email address to where the submissions are sent to.

6. Are there different versions or k-RAR and can I integrate this with my website?

There are 2 versions of the standalone k-RAR:-

k-RAR Standard.  
-The standard version is just a plain and simple k-RAR website and the site contains your logo and contact details on the page along with the k-RAR functionality.

k-RAR Professional
-k-RAR Standard will be designed to match the navigation and style of your own website.   The cost of this version will vary dependent upon how complicated your website is.

7. Where will the k-RAR site be hosted?

The website will be on a separate domain hosted on our server, usually report-a-repair.domain.co.uk but we can name this to anything you wish.

8. How much does k-RAR cost?

PHARO FAQ

1. What is PHARO?

PHARO stands for Putting Housing Associations Right Online.  PHARO is a content management system (CMS) that can be used to build a website specially designed for Housing Associations.

2. What features does PHARO contain?

PHARO has many features including the ability to add an edit 3 levels of navigation which enables you to create hundreds or pages within your website.  You cna upload photos, videos, flash files and other media to be shown on your website.  You can also create forms, tables, FAQ's, news stories and polls as well as have the ability to bring and show external RSS feeds on your website. 

PHARO also has a dedicated area that enables you to create lists of properties and associate files and images with each of those properties making it flexible for Housing Association needs.

You can perform email campaigns on people who register on your site and send out newsletters via this system.  On top of this there are far more features in PHARO that have not been mentioned.

3. What about the design?

As part of buying PHARO we create a custom design that will be used as the template to your site.  We will make sure during the development process that we get your requirements right and come up with an appropriate design.

Kiswebs Products

1. Who are Kiswebs?

Kiswebs is a web design and web services company based in Glasgow, Scotland offering a complete range of services to businesses throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK.

We have been fortunate to work with many SME businesses and local government organisations throughout Glasgow and Scotland since 1999 and the fact that these businesses and organisations retain our services on an ongoing basis is testament to the quality of the web services we provide.

2. PHARO is too large a website for us. Do you offer any other products?

We offer several other products.  Even if you are a Registered Tenants Organisation then we can offer you a similar product to PHARO called RTOO.  This product contains has features such as a message board, photo gallery, events listings and directory which can be used by RTO's to keep in contact with their residents.

kCart is a product where you can create a large online shop with multiple levels in both navigation and categories for your products.  It has most of the same features as PHARO but with a lot of functionality to manage and sell your products.

KISS Builder is a CMS for the smaller business, and there are several versions of this including one with a single level Online Shop.  If you want to find out more then visit to the KISS Builder website.
